About
You don’t need a bunker. You need a plan.
Ready Enough exists because most preparedness advice is written for somebody else — someone with a basement, a truck, and a taste for worst-case scenarios. Meanwhile the things that actually happen are smaller: the power goes out for two days, a storm knocks out the water, a road closes, a fridge full of groceries goes warm.
We write for the people those days happen to. Renters. Parents. People with one closet to spare. Our test for every recommendation is simple: would this help a normal household get through three ordinary bad days without drama?
What we believe
- Small, finished steps beat big, abandoned projects.
- Fear is a bad motivator. Competence is a good one.
- Most people need less gear than the internet suggests.
- If we would not buy it ourselves, we do not recommend it.
How we make money
Some links to gear are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes what we recommend, and we regularly recommend the cheaper option — or nothing at all.
